Lansing Advocacy Day
Each year members apply to participate in a day of advocating for a public health topic of the group’s choosing. Researching the issues, finding the relevant policy stakeholders to meet with, and preparing one-pagers allows the group to make an impact shaping health policy. Topics in 2023 include:
Repeal Right to Work - Ensure our workers can earn a good living and have great benefits including time with their families and quality, affordable health care.
Reproductive Justice - Repeal outdated laws limiting our freedom to control our own bodies
Gun Control - Gun violence and increasing restrictions on gun ownership
More details to come regarding Lansing Day application and timeline.
