Payton Watt (President)
She/Her/Hers
Payton Watt is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. During the summer of 2020, she interned for the Galilee Society: The Arab National Society for Health Research and Services, and was a student consultant for Central City Integrated Health in Detroit. She is interested in social epidemiology, structural determinants of health, and health equity.
Mike Michalski (Vice President)
He/Him/His
Mike is currently a Master of Health Services Administration student at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. During the summer, Mike worked with the Science Learning Center at the University to increase online equity in virtual study groups. In his free time, Mike enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, and traveling with friends. He is extremely passionate about healthcare costs, volunteering in the healthcare system, and insurance plan structures.
Matt Dunn (Education Chair)
He/Him/His
Matt Dunn is an MPH candidate in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He is interested in social and environmental determinants of health, as well as how public policy can be used to improve population health. During the summer of 2020, he worked for the MyVoice research project, and also interned for the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the Office of Minority Health.
Jamison Koeman (Advocacy Chair)

Jamison is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. During the summer of 2020, he interned at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. At the school of public health, he researches housing and health. Jamison is interested in the social/political determinants of health and health care access. In his spare time, he loves to run, hike, read, and learn new recipes to cook.
Matthew Jirsa (Professional Development Chair)

Matthew Jirsa is a second-year Master's of Health Services Administration in Health Management and Policy. Matthew has a strong interest in behavioral healthcare policy and workforce burnout and founded a student-run mental health policy task force that implemented mental health reform with his undergraduate counseling system. His summer internship is at Massachusetts General Hospital (offer received). He has previously worked for Stanford Healthcare and served on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association of Tompkins County. Currently, Matthew also serves as the President of the Public Health Student Assembly. He enjoys lifting, hiking, making music and running (not as much as Jamison).
Maria Tout (Treasurer)
She/Her/Hers
Maria Tout is currently pursuing a Master of Health Service Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. During the summer of 2020, she interned for Hartford Healthcare in the Project Management Office. She is interested in system reform through a lens of health equity with continued attention to disparities through robust public health interventions addressing the social and political determinants of health.
