Beyond academics, Nadia enjoys tennis and immersing herself in the world of literature through reading.

 

Liz Hart (Advocacy Chair)
She/Her

Liz joined HPSA due to her recognition of the profound impact of health policy on individuals' daily experiences. As she trains to become a genetic counselor, Liz is acutely aware of how health policy influences the clinical landscape for both herself and her patients. Her unwavering passion for health policy is matched by her eagerness to empower others with the skills to advocate effectively and amplify their voices within the advocacy sphere. Outside of her professional pursuits, Liz finds joy in rock climbing, indulging in reading, and the art of baking.

 



Natalie Rosenquist (Alumni Engagement Chair)
She/Her

Natalie is delighted to join HPSA this year in her capacity as the Alumni Engagement Chair. The vibrant alumni network at Michigan SPH holds a special place, and she is eager to foster stronger bonds within this community, enriching the experience for HPSA members.Her decision to join Michigan SPH was driven by a desire to grasp both the policy and management facets of healthcare, making her participation in HPSA an ideal avenue to achieve this goal. Beyond her dedication to the field, Natalya's love for reading shines through, as evidenced by her impressive feat of completing 42 books in 2022.

 

Jessica (Jess) Gao (Social Chair)
She/Her

Jess is a freshman pursuing a BS in Public Health. She is enthusiastic about structural improvements to community health, particularly in the realm of health policy, which motivated her to join HPSA. Her interests extend to lifting, crocheting, poetry, and embracing new experiences. As this moment, Jess’s favorites activities include romanticizing the weather, not failing my classes, and window shopping. Aashna Pradhan (Finance Chair) She/Her

Aashna holds a fervent passion for harnessing health technology and innovation as strategic tools to tackle health disparities worldwide. Her curiosity extends to the intricate interplay between health policy and the accessibility and regulation of care. Beyond her professional interests, Aashna finds joy in attending concerts, embarking on hikes, experimenting with cooking, discovering new restaurants, and engaging in the invigorating practice of boxing.

 

Ellie Bai (Marketing and Communication Chair) She/Her

Ellie became a part of HPSA driven by her fervent enthusiasm for health policy and her unwavering commitment to addressing health disparities among underrepresented populations. In her role as the Communication Chair, Ellie eagerly anticipates leveraging diverse social media platforms to foster connections between HPSA and like-minded individuals and organizations seeking to delve into its offerings.Amid her academic pursuits, Ellie finds solace and inspiration in activities like running, hiking, and curating a collection of vintage fashion.

 

Abigail Kowalczyk (Professional Development Chair) She/Her

With a deep-rooted passion for enhancing public health capabilities through state-level health policy, Abby focuses her efforts on fortifying the foundations of health governance. As a proud native of Michigan, she is steadfast in her commitment to shaping policies that directly impact the health and welfare of the residents in the Great Lake State.Taking on the role of the Professional Development Chair, Abby envisions a year of abundant career prospects and enriching learning experiences for all HPSA members. Abby loves solace and joy in the realms of reading, swimming, water polo, and the art of baking.

 

Ronnie Sharangpani (Education Chair) He/Him

Ronnie is a second-year MPH candidate in Health Management and Policy. He is dedicated to making health policy accessible. Advocating for structural changes, Ronnie believes in the right to health for everyone, regardless of life's uncontrollable aspects. Besides his HPSA role, he engages in animal rights advocacy, public health research, and serves as a graduate facilitator for UM peer mentor groups.
